Something cool that Xerox is doing

Banner

If you go to this web site, Let's say thanks you can pick out a thank you card and Xerox will print it and it will be sent to a soldier that is currently serving in Iraq . You can't pick out who gets it, but it will go to some member of the armed services.

How AMAZING it would be if we could get everyone we know to send one!!! This is a great site. Please send a card. It is FREE and it only takes a second.

Wouldn't it be wonderful if the soldiers received a bunch of these? Whether you are for or against the war, our guys and gals over there need to know we are behind them...

I Felt Responsible!!!

Realtors certainly have a glorious and superb occupation, but at times being a realtor could be distressing and tense. Showing

There have been many occasions when I have cried with my clients, listened to their personal problems, and have become more than the Realtor who drives around town to show them houses. I have even become their personal decorator, shopper, and weekend buddy as I helped them sell their house.

I am not just their Realtor, I am their friend.

Short SaleLast night I heard that a past client is planning to put their home on the market as a "Short Sale". As they were telling me about their hardship, I could feel my heart beating faster than normal in my chest. I was shocked by this news. My friends could lose their home. All I could say at that moment was "I am so, so sorry. Please let me know if there is anything I can do to help." I think I said to them how sorry I felt about 4-5 times.

I was truly sorry.

Bed

All night I tossed and turned in bed not being able to get my friends' (past clients') trouble out of my head. Although I believe strongly in personal responsibility, for some reason I felt responsible.

Our job as realtors are more than just signing contracts, setting up open house signs, or showing houses. Our job is to help people's dreams become a reality. Our job is to put smiles on people's faces. So when we feel that a dream has been shattered or that a smile has turned into tears, yes, we do feel sad and distressed. After all we are human as well.
