My dear friend Cyndee Haydon has done it, yes, she has put me on the spot. So here it goes;
For most of us being sent out into the real world at the age of eighteen could be terrifying, but just imagine being sent out into the real world, into a different environment where the rules are different from everything you have ever been taught and on top of that not understanding a word of what everybody is saying. However, things got better. My summer course, English for the Foreign Language Speakers, turned into semester course at the local college. 3 ½ years latter I fell in love with the kindest and most caring man I have ever known. He was attending the local college as well and at the same time raising two very young boys. 2) We have four kids now, 2 boys, and 2 girls. I never studied Genetic Engineering, instead I got my degree from California State University Northridge in Multimedia Production. 3) I love to speed since there is a limit on the roads and the freeways (and I have my kids in the car most of the time) I get to do my speeding in the ocean. Jet-skiing is my favorite water activity and I dare you to keep up with me.
4) I love history and I have a good collection of books on Europe during the Medieval era.
5) I love traveling. I have traveled to many countries when I was single and now as a family one of our plans is to travel the country in our R.V. So be prepared I might knock on your door and surprise you
Now is my turn to pass the torch down to: Jack Haydon~Clearwater Beach Real Estate , Christina Lackey, and Jeff R. Geoghan MBA, Realtor

And The MeMe Goes To....Mana
Computers taking over!!!!!
It is a fact and we can not deny it, we need our computers and PCs to survive and keep up in our society. I woke up this morning, got the kids to school, poured myself a cup of coffee, and turned on my laptop. As I logged into my desktop, something did not look right. The background that I had set up for my desktop was different and
All files and information that I had saved on my laptop had been erased, gone, what I was looking at was a brand new laptop. I could feel my heartbeat rise and blood rushing to my head. That's it, my life is over!!!! I called my Husband, an Electronic Engineer, no answer, he was in a meeting. I consider myself computer savvy, but I leave all the computer operating questions to my husband. But now I was desperate, most of my business was in this stupid thin box and I needed it NOW. So I decided to give it a try. What if I turned this stupid machine off, gave it 5 minutes, and then turned it back on again? Guess what? After five minutes I logged into my laptop everything was there. All the files, documents, precious pictures, they are all here. Is it amazing how dependent we have become to these man made devices?

Kids say the darnd’est things
I am in second grade and we had a project to write about "what our family members love to do the most?" I was very excited so I wrote;
On the night of our school's open house people were looking very strangely at my Mommy. When my parents read my Family Activity List they started laughing and they gave me a big hug. I didn't thing it was that great. Then my Mommy picked me up and sat me on her lap and with a big smile said: "Honey, mommy doesn't bog her friends, it is called BLOGGING. I write a blog so my friends can read them and when they write a blog I tell them how I feel about what they have written." I am so glad my Mommy explained this to me because I was starting to thing my Mommy was becoming a Bully!!!

Who are You?
Do the realtors who bend to all their client's need and become their client's Play-Doh are the ones with the dazzling reputation and a long clientele list? Or is it the realtor who tends to be himself/herself and clients with the same personality or principles are drawn to those realtors? I thing to some extent as a realtor we have to have that acting capability. I don't imply acting to deceive; I mean acting as both realtors that I mentioned above.
Personally, when I meet a client I tend to listen, plan, and act to satisfy their real estate needs, but as we all know even Play- Now it is time to talk about the second realtor, the realtor that acts as himself/herself. I tend to work on a referral basis. People who have worked with me and like my personality, work ethics, and honesty are the ones that refer their friends and family to me. I try to stay true to who I am and what I believe in, if a client wants me to cross those boundaries then I tell them they have chosen the wrong realtor. So which one of these realtors are you? I would love to read your comments.

We were fortunate to buy our first house in the beautiful and peaceful city of Camarillo, Ventura County. This
I was a fool. My pride had blinded me. All these years I was Home and I just did not realize it. I was so upset over what I had lost at a young age of eighteen that I was denying what I had now.
My home was here with "My Family". My husband, my children and who ever wished to walked through the front door and share the love we had to give them.
God Bless Our Home.

Now is the time to spend calories on advertising not money!!!!
A few years ago when we lived in a market where some of us could afford a vacation here or there, shoes we didn't truly need, and the bling blings, I would have maybe encouraged you to set some of that sweet commission aside and advertise like there was no tomorrow.
Yes, remember the days? In our area, Ventura County, the Homes and Land magazine was getting heavier than a college text book!!!!
Well, the times have changed and the budgeting brain cells are hard at work. Now we not only don't have the money for a family trip some of us are struggling to make money for that trip to the office. (Seen the price of gas lately?!!!!)
So why waist that precious hard to come commissions on advertising?
Now, I say is the time to spend some man-power instead of money-power.
Volunteer, we all have some interests in life. Some love to read, help the elderly, participate in their child's school, or make their town a better place to live.
I personally have chosen to play a big part in my children's school district.
Our school district, The Pleasant Valley School District recently was faced to make some very hard decisions. Many parents, including yours truly, opposed these decisions and during these conflicts I met a significant number of parents.
Now, when I am around town I bump into these people, some know that I am a realtor and some will eventually find out. Some have walked into my open houses and were very surprised and excited to have found a realtor who shares a same passion when it comes to their children's education. And all of this did not cost me a penny; all it took was some time doing what I enjoy doing and finding some friends along the way.
