Your Huntsville, Alabama Area Expert

Huntsville, AlabamaAs a Realtor who specializes in helping homebuyers, I am always on the look to make an alliance with other Realtors in different States. I respect my homebuyers and provide an outstanding service to all of my clients. And as I search each State, I look for Realtors with the same work ethics and philosophy. That is how I found Kimberly Grant, my preferred Real Estate Agent in Huntsville, Alabama.

Kimberly Grant's website provides an extensive amount of information for both buyers and sellers. Her goal is to make her clients aware of all aspects of the real estate market before they make any major decision. She achieves this by providing her clients with a wide variety of free reports.

By visiting Kimberley's site, Homebuyers in Huntsville area can request a free weekly list of foreclosure, HUD, distressed, and bank owned properties through email! Since the number of foreclosure homes are on the rise in the country, there has been a great deal of interest in these type of homes.

The mortgage calculator page that Kimberly offers on her website provides more information than any other mortgage calculator on other realtors' website, including myself.

Over all I was very impressed with the wealth of information Kimberly has provided for her buyers and I am confident that I have made the right decision by choosing Kimberly Grant, with Exit Leon Crawford Realty, to represent my clients who need to relocate to Huntsville, Alabama.

Camarillo Real Estate, Camarillo Receives a Proposal For a New Development

Camarillo hillsThe beautiful hills of Camarillo are again being considered for increased development. This time 57 acres, owned by David and Rose Marie Lucchese, located off of Goldenspur Drive near Cerro Crest and Valley Vista drives are the center of attention.

Mr. & Mrs. Lucchese proposal to the City of Camarillo for their 57 acres of agricultural land is to annex these unincorporated property and change the zoning from agriculture to residential. The application is for a total of 12 lots, including the property where the The Luccheses would live. Each lot would be a minimum of two acres limited to one house and a "granny flat."

The environmental impact report is to be completed on the Lucchese's property in the near feature. Dave Anderson, the city's assistant community development director, told the Camarillo Star "the property has some challenges associated with it because of its hillside topography. A geotechnical engineer's report is expected to address the question of earthquake fault lines and other relevant issues."

The City Planner's office has been flooded with complaints and concerns from nearby neighbors. Most neighbors enjoy the view and tranquility that these hills have to offer and with a new development the wildlife and privacy these homeowners have cherished for so long will disappear. Most of these homeowners bought their property with the understanding that development of the adjacent land would be out of the question.

Camarillo SealHowever, as mentioned above, the city of Camarillo has not even received the environmental impact study yet. The final draft of the environmental impact report will include neighbors' comments.  Then it will go to the Planning Commission to determine if it's logical for the city to annex this property. Then The City Council will determine if the project serves the community or not.

Ventura County Real Estate, Ventura County Real Estate And The Williamson Act

Citrus FarmIf your life's dream has always been to live in a cottage or a mansion on acres and acres of land then I would like to welcome you to Ventura County, CA. Our beautiful costal county is famous for its lushes farm lands, citrus and avocado trees, and not to forget strawberry fields. Did you know as private California landowners, the Ventura County landowners can take advantage of lowered property taxes set in by The Williamson Act ?

The California Land Conservation Act of 1965--commonly referred to as The Williamson Act-allows landowner enters into a contract with Ventura County to restrict land uses to those compatible with agriculture and open space. In return, landowners receive property tax assessments which are much lower than normal because they are based upon farming and open space uses as opposed to full market value.

The contract between the County and the landowner lasts for ten years and each year the contract is automatically renewed for a new ten-year period, unless the landowner notifies the County of a desire not to renew.

Just like any county, Ventura County has many requirements for entering into a Williamson Act contract, such as the acreage, number of buildings on the property, and so on. To obtain information as to whether a Williamson Act contract exists on a parcel, contact me

MeMe Came Back For More

The MeMe wagon has hit me again. This time I have been tagged by Becky Troutt and believe it or not it is becoming really hard to think of five things about myself that I would want to share with the public and my Active Rain friends.

Pyramids Of EgyptI have traveled to 6 different countries all on 3 different continents. Asia, Europe, and North America, but my dream is to go to Egypt and see the Pyramids before I die.

Women crying

It is very hard for me to cry. My best friend claims that I have no tear ducts, hahaha.

Rafting

Occasionally my family and I visit my sister-in-law in Grants Pass Oregon and go down the Rogue River rapids. We love to hit Hellgate Canyon and all the whitewater thrills the Rogue has to offer.

Migraine HeadacheI suffer from occasional Migraine Headaches. They consume me when they hit and I have yet to find a medication to take care of the headaches. However, resting in a dark and quiet room seems to help.

reading to childrenI love to read. I think I have passed the love of reading to my children. Just give me an interesting book and you'll probably won't hear or see me for a while. I even volunteered to read to the children one night a week at our local Camarillo library.

My Turn to MeMe three people and they are;

Gabriela Flores: because she lives not too far from me.

Christine Craig: she is another neighbour.

Jill Fuhrer: A strong individual I would like to know more about.
